FRIONA - Eddie Joe Hall, 78, died Thursday, July 3, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sixth Street Church of Christ with Leon Talley, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mr. Hall was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Henrietta to Luther Roscoe and Essie Lavina Wilcoxen Hall. He married Anita M. Upton on Aug. 28, 1965, in Muleshoe. He was a longtime Parmer County farmer and rancher and a member of Sixth Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brent Hall of Friona; a daughter, Brenda Harguess of Willcox, Ariz.; three sisters, Mary Beavers of Lubbock, Glenda Dale of Muleshoe and Mona Sharrock of Friona; two brothers, James Hall of Fort Worth and Kenneth Hall of Friona; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Prairie Acres Nursing Home, 201 E. 15th St., Friona, TX 79035; or to the Friona Public Library, 109 W. Seventh St., Friona, TX 79035.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
