On October 3, 1963, he married Phyllis in Copper Harbor, MI. William and Phyllis were married for 36 years. They are survived by two daughters, Martha (Mark) Lantz of Osceola, IN, and Lois (Greg) Waldron of Copperville, MI; 6 grandchildren, Kara (Michael) Lantz Griffith, Jonathan Lantz, Scott (Jessica) Waldron, Alisha Waldron, Justin Waldron, Autumn Waldron; and 2 great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Ethan. Phyllis and her husband Howard were owners and operators of Bergh's Resort in Copper Harbor, Michigan, were she was the manager of the resort where they resided from 1963 until 2002. Phyllis was the 1st mate of Bergh Fishing Charter, were she would pilot the boat for fishing expeditions.
