He was born in Belgium, Wisc., on Dec. 19, 1932. He moved from Okinawa in 1974 and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 dedicated years of military service in the EOD field. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion 40/8, Masons, Shriners, EOD Masterblasters, Elks and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Lesch of Crestview; stepsons, Billy Lake, Michael Ring, and David Ring; daughters, Katie Robinson of Crestview, and Kaley Lesch; brother, Donald Lesch of Wisconsin; sisters, Joan Rivera of Wisconsin, Evelyn Cusack of Illinois, Irene Guelker and Vivian Duva, both of Wisconsin, and Louise Miller of Wisconsin; grand-children, Virginia Ryals, Sara LaRoche, Christopher Robinson, D.J. Robinson and David Robinson; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. with Father Florensio Lagura officiating. Interment will be in Almarante Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Fla., with Masonic and full military honors at noon on Wednesday.
