He was a graduate of Germantown Settlement Schools and was former owner of the Karthaus Motor Hotel.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Morrisdale and of Mosquito Creek Sportsman's Club.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during WWII.
On December 3, 1958 he married Helen Andrejcik Barnyak, who passed away July 12, 1996.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by nine brothers and four sisters.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale.
