Indiana Evening Gazette 21 April 1943

Charle Roy Wineberg eldest son of Samuel and Mary (Miller) Wineberg, died in his home in Sykesville, MD April 11 after a prolonged illness. He was 63 years old. He was born in Marchand and lived there until 15 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Bertha Maude (Peffer) Wineberg; four sons, Charles, Max and Dale all of Baltimore and Earl with the US Navy; two grandsons; three brothers, Blake, Ralph and Walter , all of Marchand and a sister, Mrs. Harvey Peffer of Marion Center. Services were held in the Blake Wineberg home and interment was in Marchand cemetery.

Charles R. Wineberg suffered a stroke Wednesday evebing at his home and his sons, Max, Charles R.Jr. and Dale Wineberg, Baltimore were called to his bedside. His son, Earl is in the US Navy.

Charles Roy Wineberg of Marchand and Miss Bertha Maud Peffer, were married at the bride's' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Peffer in Marchand, Wednesday October 22. The wedding was read by the Rev. W.W. Elrick
