They had 12 children: Daniel, Alexander, Platt, James Alfred, Uriah, Cornelia, Ira Clark, Coles, Francis Jane, Sarah Ann, Rebecca and George Hubbs. He was a butcher by trade and lived on Jericho Tnpk., in the 1840s and 1850s. His sons and grandsons went on to be butchers on Long Island well into the 1900s.
