Husband of Sally, was born in Maine, December 27, 1788, where he lived until 21, when he moved to Sodus, Wayne County, NY and settled on a farm. He married Sally (Lewis) on September 21, 1816. In 1832, he moved to Erie, Monroe County, MI, where he purchased a farm and resided until his death, July 22, 1837. He helped frame Michigan's 1st Constitution, as he was a delegate from the second district to the constitutional convention of 1835, and was a representative in the legislature of 1837.
