Katherine F. Tarver Is Dead At Laredo
Laredo. Miss Katherine Field Tarver, 76, principal of Laredo High School for thirty-six years and later Superintendent of Webb County schools died Saturday at her Laredo home following a short illness.

Miss Tarver was related to the Woodhouse family of Brownsville. Her sister, Edna Tarver, was married to the late Albert Woodhouse. Both Mr. and Mrs. Woodhouse died here within the last two years.

Miss Tarver came to Laredo with her father, the late Captain E.R. Tarver, who organized the first public schools in 1887. Survivors are three brothers, E.R. Tarver and Legette Tarver of Laredo and B.G. Tarver of Los Angeles.
