GILMER - Services for Charles Alton Allred, 70, of Big Sandy, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday,
October 23, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Rex White officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr.
Allred passed away October 18, 2007, in Shreveport, La.
He was born September 4, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, to Charles Quinlin and Velma
Faye Mills Allred. He served in the United States Navy and was a machinist.
He is survived by his son, Charles William Allred of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Susan
Lynn Jordan and husband, Mark, of Black Mountain, North Carolina; sister, Linda Grasser and husband, Bill, of Missouri City, Texas; and brother-in-law, Vernon Kessner and wife, Susan, of Sperry, Oklahoma.
Mr. Allred was preceded in death by his wife, Juldean Allred in 2005; son, James Vernon Allred; daughters, Angela Faye Allred and Barbara Marie Perkins; and sister, Andrea Allred.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
