He was a native of Skelton, West Virginia and was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church.
He retired after 23 years of service in the U.S. Army serving in World War II and the Korean War. He also retired from Dow Corning after 20 years.
Dick was a man who loved life and always found the best in people.
Dick will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 29 years; Rogerlyn Fred Biggs and his children, Richard Lynn Biggs, Jr. and wife Maple of St. Rose, Louisiana, Roger Biggs of Vine Grove, David Biggs of Nicholasville, Mike Biggs and wife Mary of Elizabethtown, Scott Lawson and wife Lori of Berea and Jill Murphy and husband Sam of Elizabethtown, a sister Merle Neal and husband Leon of Beckley, West Virginia and six grandchildren; Mallory Biggs, Marla Biggs, Preston Murphy, Hunter Pierce, Blake Thorn and Keri Thorn.
