Ebenezer was the son of Major Ebenezer Adams Sr and Martha Taylor. He was married about 1794 to Marcy (or Mary) Rose, the daughter of James Rose and Thankful Miner of South Kingstown. He was a cooper by trade.
There is a question as to whether or not Ebenezer, his wife, and his father are actually buried in this cemetery. After James N. Arnold recorded the cemetery in 1880, when only the William Sherman stone was present, someone thereafter erected the monuments for Ebenezer and his father (on both sides of the same stone) and Ebenezer's wife, Mary. In 1897 the DAR erected an 18-foot tall monolith in honor of Major Ebenezer Adams in RI Historical Cemetery, South Kingstown, #84. It is likely that Ebenezer Sr. is buried in Cem #84, while this Ebenezer (Jr.) is likely buried here.
