MOORESVILLE -- Ms. Byers, 50, of Oak Tree Road, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 at her residence.
Born July 28, 1957 in Mooresville, she was the daughter of the late Armon and Evelyn Sherrill Byers. She was a 1975 graduate of South Iredell High School. She was formerly a cashier at Food Lion and Harris Teeter. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church, where she was the former pre-school program director.
She loved children and enjoyed being around them and loved to sing. She was also a loyal and enthusiastic Jeff Gordon #24 fan.
She is survived by her loving brother, Terry C. Byers of Mooresville; her niece, Hannah Roberts and husband, Jeremy of North Augusta, SC; nephew, Kevin Byers of Beech Island, SC, who were the pride and joy of her life; and her fiance whom she loved dearly, Barry Rogers of Ft. Lawn, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 1 at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Dan L. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30-2:00 PM at the church.
