Catherine (Katie) Mueth Schumann (1868 - 1936).
May 1, 1861, at age 45, he enlisted in the Civil War, and served in the Union Cause as a Private in St. Louis Company G., U.S. Reserve Component Infantry. He was discharged 8/20/1861.
In 1880, he worked as a shoemaker and lived at 2330 Menard St. (corner of Menard and Lami St.)
