Agriculture equipment salesman
Shelby Venoy Throneberry, 84, of Tulare passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007.
He was born in Eloy, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an agriculture equipment salesman for 20 years.
Shelby was a member of the Tulare AMVETS Post No. 56; and the Country Freewill Baptist Church of Visalia. He enjoyed fishing and hot rods.
Shelby was preceded in death by three daughters, Mary Ann, Julie Ann and Patricia Throneberry, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Throneberry of Tulare; two sons, Mark Timothy Throneberry of Tulare and Joel Venoy Throneberry and his wife, Elaine, of Bakersfield; two daughters, Shellie Knight and her husband, Jeff, of Visalia and Valerie Throneberry of Tulare; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, 132 West Kern Ave. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with burial at Tipton-Pixley District Cemetery in Tipton.
