William Altenhofen, 66 died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in his home. He is survived by his wife Florence and eight children: Art, Minneapolis; William, U.S. Army, Canal Zone; Werner, Albany; Leander, Minneapolis; Jerome and Charlie, at home; Mrs. Jerry (Lucille) Lemke, Albany; and Elizabeth, at home. He is also survived by two brothers, Ben, Delano, and Jake, Ogema; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Niezgockoi, St. Cloud, Mrs. William (Rose) Sobiech, St. Cloud, and Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Gast, Hillman, and Mrs. Joe Bollig, Little Falls.
Born in Granite township, he married Florence Perusse of Cologne, Minn. in 1930. He was employed by the Gottwalt Lumber Co. for the past 30 years.
Funeral rites will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Pierz. Friends may call at the Virnig Funeral Home until the time of service.
