Harold was born in Snedickerville, PA to Hazel and Marshall Ordway. He married Anna M. Carlson(See Anna Ordway) on November 22,1951. They had 5 children-Sharon'53,Bonita,55', Cynthia,57', Harold Jr.60'(See Harold Ordway Jr)and Ronald james, 61'. He was a tool and die maker, fought in korea as a tank commander and contracted cancer in 1968. At the time of his death he was a farmer with a dary farm. On August 18th,1972 he called Anna from the hospital to wish her a happy birthday.
She said she was going to take a nap after working the 11-7am shift at a nursing home and would be up to see him. While she was sleeping she felt the bed depress and a kiss on her cheek. She woke up and left to see him at the hospital- and hour away. He died while she was on the way to the hospital. The days between his death and his funeral were 18,19,20,21 the birthdays of Anna and 3 of the children.
