Frank and Marilyn lived in Anchorage, Alaska for many years. After the disastrous 1964 Alaskan earthquake, Frank used his ham radio to contact family members in the lower 48 states that the family was okay. Their home was damaged from the quake and the family moved to Puyallup, Washington to a home across the street from Marilyn's parents, Ralph and Effie Kinkade, on 5th Avenue. Frank had many interests, including woodworking, macrame, and gem, ology.
After retiring, Frank and Marilyn took their motor home on many trips with her parents. When her parents returned to Ellensburg to live, Frank and Marilyn purchased their home. Frank spent years remodeling this home and created extra bedrooms from the wraparound porch for his grandchildren.
Frank passed away at the age of 82 in Puyallup. Funeral services were held at the Hill Funeral Home Chapel on January 20th, 1993. A grave side service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Ellensburg was held January 21, 1993.
