Mamie was listed as Mary, age 7, on the Territorial Census of 1880, in the household of her father, Jeremiah Damman. Mamie was referred to by Arthur Damman in a newspaper article. He noted, "Needless to say, when my sister, Mamie Damman, was born, I was very happy to have a new playmate. Nieces recall visiting their Aunt Mamie. Her niece, Fannie Damman, recalled, "Then there was the time that Aunt Mamie and a girl friend decided to have their picture taken with their heads stuck through a newspaper. And the newspaper they picked had Collins men's clothing ad just below which read "Our pants are lined in the seat."
Cemetery records indicate that Mamie Damman Wolff died in 1956 at the age of 82 of cardiovascular disease and is buried at IOOF cemetery next to her husband, Fred. Her obituary from the Ellensburg Daily Record is as follows:

Wolff Services on Wednesday -
Graveside services will be held at the IOOF Cemetery here Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Mamie Damman Wolff 82, Kittitas Valley native and long-time Ellensburg resident, who died last Wednesday in Philadelphia. Dr. Laurence M. Arksey will officiate.
Mrs. Wolff was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Damman, valley pioneers. She was born here in 1874, attended the Ellensburg schools and graduated from the Ellensburg Normal School in 1903. She taught in the local schools for several years until her marriage to Fred P. Wolff.
Wolff operated the Wolff Clothing Store here until his death in 1920. Shortly after, Mrs. Wolff and her daughter, Mrs. Wanda Walker, moved to Philadelphia.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Wolff is survived by a brother, Dr. A. J. Damman of Ellensburg, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a niece, Miss Ruth Damman of Ellensburg.
