Of Chesterfield, former Lutesville resident, he died at a St. Louis hospital. Married Bertie Mansker May 12, 1934 at Little Valley Church in Bollinger County. On Nov. 6, 1937, he married Mrs. Laura Cotner, who died in August of this year.

Survived by his mother, Ida Stowers; daughter, Imogene VanGennip; two stepsons, Johnnie and Winfred Cotner; stepdaughter, Ruth Moyers; brother, Earl Stowers; sisters, Mildred Crenshaw and Virginia Wilson; four grandchildren and 15 step grandchildren.
