COLUMBUS -- Virginia "Sis" Dolan, age 78, of Columbus Twp., died Friday, May 2, 2003.
She was born Aug. 14, 1924 in Detroit to the late Emil and May Claerhout.
She married Melvin Dolan in Port Huron. He preceded her in death April 14, 2003.
Sis was an active member of St. Philip Neri Church, Columbus Twp. and worked many years at her father's restaurant Emil's in Snyderville.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (James) Kennedy, Linda (Bob) Shafer, Virginia Hurttgam and Ed (Mary) Siegrist; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Madeline (Toots) Schuster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Claerhout.
She will be sadly missed by many dear friends and family members.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Philip Neri Church, Columbus Twp. Fr. Erwin Bauer, Pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Richmond.
Visiting hours are 2 to 9 p.m. today in Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
A Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research or the charity of the donor's choice.
