It appears to be an error on the stone with the death year. His death certificate clearly shows he died in 1930 to include the date the doctor signed it and the funeral home buried him.
The County Courthouse date the certificate was filed is also in 1930. Leads me to believe the stone was placed several years after the death.
The death certificate also points out that he had been sick "about three weeks" with pellagra which may account for the erroneous 1929 death year.
