Married to Samuel K. Pletcher. They were the parents of twelve children all grew to adulthood and have find a grave sites. Grandma Pletcher always loved to do needlework and make rag rugs on the family loom. A story told by her children says that Grandma Holdeman Pletcher was placed on probation by the elders of the "Holdeman Church" because the men said she was "proud" for sewing lace on her bonnet. She had to sit in the kitchen when eating and not at the dining room table with others.
