E. T. Foot was a witness for C. H. Foote of Gilmer county, GA on his CSA pension app. Paperwork is in the GA archives virtual vault on line. He also has a pension app. He says he enlisted in Oct. 1862 in Murray County, GA and served with Company B of the 4th GA Cav. Right before the surrender in 1865, he and others from his unit were sent by General Wheeler to guard North Georgia from raiders. Within his paperwork, is a pension app from his wife, Mrs. R. E. Foot, who says they married 21 March 1869 and that E. T. Foot died 8 April 1913. She requested his $60 pension payment and proved marriage.

Beside Eugene T. Foote and his wife, Emaline Sparks, is the grave of his sister Alice Holt (Addie)… To her north side is the grave of their nephew Alfred Hesikiah Foote, the son of Charles H. Foote and Kansas Missouri Bishop…

Another sister, Lois Jane Foote Long, wife of H. W. Long, is buried a short distance north along the ridge…

And sister, Mary Julia Foote Davis and her husband Garrett Henry Davis are buried near the Long's…

Their parents are likely buried in Jarrett Cemetery as they were last living in Ellijay, at advanced ages…
