William W. Francis, 85 year old retired farmer, died Monday at his home in Lutesville, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Francis, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Francis, was born near Lutesville, February 7, 1885. He spent his entire life in this county, where he had farmed until his retirement several years ago.
About 66 years ago he married Laura M. Schell, who preceded him in death Aug. 7, 1956.
He is survived by two sons, W. M. Francis of Lutesville, MO; Clarence H. Francis of Lutesville, MO; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Farrar of Canoga Park, CA; Mrs. Jessie Higbee of Canoga Park, CA; eleven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Lutesville, MO. Burial was in Baker Cemetery.
