A senior, Sharlene was a shy and caring young woman. She and her twin sister, Carlene, perished in a bus crash that killed them, a teacher and 26 other members of the Yuba City High School choir. Sharlene died at the hospital. She is buried beside her twin sister, who has killed instantly in the crash. They were both taught to play the piano by their mother. She sang in the Mormon youth vocal group at the Mormon church.
