SALISBURY - John Oscar Honeycutt, 91, formerly of Sells Road died Tuesday at Broughton Hospital in Morganton.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rowan Memorial Park.
A native of Iredell County, he was a retired employee of W.A. Brown Refrigeration Company, a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and a member of the Franklin Fire Department. He worked in the ship yard in Portsmouth, Va., during World War II.
Surviving are son, Gene E. Honeycutt of West Columbia, S.C.; daughter, Mrs. Helen Turner of Dickinson, Texas; four grandchildren.
The family will be at Summersett Funeral Home 7-8:30 p.m. today.
