Katharina came to the U.S. with her son, Anton Jr. aboard the ship "Carpathia" that arrived at the Port of New York September 11, 1911. The original ship's passenger list showed her enroute to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, from Apatin, Hungary. She was 23 years of age and her son was 1 1/4 years. She was traveling with another woman and child from Apatin, namely Franciska BINDER, aged 22 years and daughter, Anna, aged 1 1/2 years. This ship's manifest also named the fathers of the women, although I cannot properly read the names. If forced to guess, I would say that Katharina's father's name reads SARGEND, Anton.
