Toured Europe with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1894-1896. Charles was an avid fisherman and in later years, he extensively customized a 1929 Model-A Ford to accommodate the sport. He claimed to have fished in all 48 states. Charles and his wife Sarah resided in Missouri before finally settling in Allen County, Kansas, in 1945.
