Hays -- Anna Augustine, 86, died Aug. 26, 1989, at her home. Born Anna Weaver Nov. 20, 1902, at Liebenthal, she married Mike Augustine Nov. 26, 1924, at Hays. He died Feb. 26, 1986.

She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the Hays area. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.

Survivors: sons, Kenneth, Harold, LeRoy, all of Hays, Wayne, Topeka, Michael, Mission; daughter, Mary Ann Dreiling, Olathe, Virginia Pfeifer, Omaha, Neb., Velma Harned, Phoenix, Ariz., Betty Tinker, Joshua, Texas, Valeria Ader, Morris, Ill.; brother, Joseph Weaver, Hays; sister, Loretta Zimmerman, Hays; 27 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Parish wake will be 8 p.m. Monday at Hays Memorial Chapel. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays, Father Brad Sterrett. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Memorials may go to the church.
