MANSON - Matthew Ryan Ball died July 21, 2008, near Salix, IA as the result of a grain bin accident. He was born Oct. 19, 1987, in Texas City, TX to Mychel Ball of Manson and Franklin Ball of Point Blank, TX. Matthew moved to Manson in 1996. He attended Manson-Northwest Webster School District until 2005-2006 when he went to Rockwell City-Lytton High School and graduated in 2006.

Matt had a passion for life and his greatest passion was skateboarding. Every chance he got he was always out skateboarding and trying out new tricks, and trying out new skate parks in other towns. He touched so many lives with his compassion and zest for life. He always smiled no matter what life dealt him. Once he made a friend, they were friends for life. Matt would do anything for anyone who needed his help. He gave from his heart and soul to make others lives better no matter what the cost to him.

Matt loved animals, he was always picking up strays and taking them in to give them a home and love. Matt's faithful companion is his dog Blondie. Family meant the most to Matthew. He spent every bit of his time possible being with his family and friends, making the most of it until he had to go back to work.

Matt was looking forward to spending time with his special niece Aveya. He had made plans for her. He planned to teach her to skateboard so they could do it together all the time. Matthew cherished Aveya even though he only got to be with her for three short weeks. He was there when she was born, the proudest uncle standing guard.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Mychel, grandmother Lorie Parks, and brother Michael all of Manson, brother Kristopher and his wife Tiffani Lee of Pomeroy, his sister Samantha of Estherville, his father Frank, brothers Wesley, Nathan, and Carey and sister Holly all of Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews of Texas. A very special niece, Aveya also survives him. His aunt Marta, cousin Morgan and Cody of Yuba City CA, his aunt and uncle Roger and Monica Hansen, cousins Dominick, Takota and Nichoali of Cheyenne, WY, and his uncle Marc of Burlington, CO.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Lee on Oct. 3, 2006.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be left to the discretion of his family.

(Matthew was cremated, and will be buried beside his Grandfather Lee in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It has been over eight years since his passing, and still he remains uninterred. For this reason I vehemently request global searches before you make a new memorial page for anyone!!!)
