when Maggie got married she told him that her Mama had to live with them because she had no where else to go. He said that was o.k. with him, she lived with them and helped to raise all five of the kids. Her oldest grandchild Calvin Earl really loved her. "Ma" always had a "nickle or a quarter later on" when he needed one. She was hard working person. She was always ready to put out some kind of a garden, kept the yard clean and cleaned the house, and pealed potatoes everyday because she always wanted fried potatoes for supper. She made the kids help her, but she only gave them jobs they were able to do for their size
She was loved very much by her family and especially the grandkids. She died peacefully in her own bed at home..
She talked about seeing angels just before she died.
She was a great person.
