William A. Bunner, 61, of 316 Willard Ave., died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1982 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

He had retired after 16 years as a Montgomery Elevator installer and repairman. He was a member of the American Legion post 263 and the Elevator Constructors Union Local 55.

Surviving are his wife, Jean; his father, Forrest; a son Wiliam Jr. of Houma, La.; two stepsons, David Fisher of Oak Forest and John Fisher, at home; two step-daughters, Sharon Clark of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Kathie Drumm of Lincoln; two brothers; Robert and Thomas both of Lincoln; four sisters, Beulah Newton, June Hall and Barbara Standley, all of Lincoln and Kay Bounds of Springfield; two grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews. His mother and a brother are deceased.

He was born in Lincoln Nov. 15, 1920 the son of Forrest and Fern Aery Bunner. He married Jean Fisher March 2, 1979 in Lincoln.

Funeral servies will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fricke-Calvert-Shrader Funeral Home with Stuart Couve officiating. Burial will be in Lucas Chapel Cemetery at Middletown.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
