Stuart H. Dildine, 88, died Sunday evening at his home, 25 Homer Street, Union Springs, after a long Illness.

Mr. Dildine was born in Hammondsport but had lived in the Town of Springport 42 years and had resided in Union Springs for the past three years, at which time he retired after a long career as a vineyardist.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Hettie Traver Dildine, he is survived by two sons, Floyd Dildine of Orlando, Fla., and Clarence Dildine of Aurelius; one daughter, Mrs. Jesse Counsell of Springport; one granddaughter, Mrs. Sidney Landon of King Ferry; one brother, Uriah Dildine of Coppers Plains, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the family home, with Rev. Bernard DeGraw, pastor of the Union Springs Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springport.
