Bennett, Joseph Matthew-Service will be conducted at 2. p.m. Saturday in Independence Methodist Church by the Rev. Beryl Lockhart. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Bennett, 67, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, died Wednesday at his home after a long illness. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his widow, Blanche; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Wolfe of Ravenswood; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bernard Finley of Ravenswood; a brother, Earnest of Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Braden, Mrs. Della Stats, Mrs. Ralph Nesselroad and Mrs. Eva Carver, all Diana; and four grandchildren. The body will be taken from Chambers Funeral Home in Ravenswood to the church an hour before service.
