Abner L. Reno, one of the most respected resident of Jefferson township, died at his home on Saturday, the end resulting from infirmities incident to old age. He was born in Beaver County, but came to Mercer county with his parents seventy-five years ago. Almost his entire life was spent on the farm and by industry and frugality he achieved success. He was a man of strong character and personality, strictly honest in all his dealings with his fellows, and was esteemed by all who knew him. In politics he was an ardent Republican and always took a deep interest in public affairs and the welfare of his party; He was a member of the Clarksville Presbyterian Church. Three sons, Charles C., G. L., and W. H., survive.
