Fred L Proctor Sr.
Funeral for Fred L. Proctor Sr., 71, manager and cashier of the Clackamas County Bank in Sandy, will be Wednesday at 2 p., at the Bateman Funeral Home in Gresham. Vault interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Proctor, long active in Sandy civic affairs, died at his home Sunday after an extended illness. He was a former mayor of Sandy, city treasurer, a member of the grade school board, the fire board, the Sandy Grange and the Sandy Masonic Lodge, of which he was a past master. He was born in Gresham Nov. 2, 1890, and attended Orient and Cottrell grade schools, then Behnke Walker Business College. On Nov. 20, 1912, he married Minnie Layman in Portland. He worked as a bookkeeper for his father in sawmills at Sandy until 1913, when he became associated with the bank. He spend 48 years at the same bank.
The widow, Minnie, survives, as do two children, Mrs. John Mills, Sandy, and Fred L Jr., Boring; two sisters, Mrs. Eugenia Alt, Sandy, and Miss Pearl Proctor, Pendleton, and six grandchildren
