MATTOON -- L. Irene Daugherty, 76, of Mattoon died at 11:52 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1993) at her residence.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin R. Holdren and the Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Brockville Cemetery in Jasper County. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
She was born May 23, 1916, in Dana, Ind., the daughter of Charles C. and Harriett Ping Daugherty.
Surviving are a sister, Raynotta Daugherty of Mattoon; and a niece and nephew.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Miss Daugherty retired from Illinois Consolidated Telephone Co. after 25 years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Mattoon.
