Martha J. Quiggins, daughter of Richard Quiggins and Martha Tucker of Breckinridge County, Kentucky, was born there October 15, 1849. She was the wife of Joseph Thomas Armes, the son of William McHenry Armes and Eliza Ellen Smith. At the time of the 1880 Census of Grayson County, Kentucky they were the parents of Nancy E., Rose and Martha J. Armes. She died at the age of 78 in Jefferson County, Kentucky on September 14, 1928. She is on the same stone with her husband J. T. Armes in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky.
