Alice Alsup, died August 18, 1928, age 35 years, 10 months, in a street of Clarksville, killed in auto accident, ran over by a commercial auto truck, died almost instantly. She was the wife of Louis Alonzo Alsup, Father, Bub Owen, Mother ????, Informant, L. A. Alsup.

Alice Alsip and her six year old daughter was killed 18 August 1928, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock when a lumber truck hit the hack, driven by mules, that the Alsup family were going to Clarksville in, throwing these two underneath the rear wheels of the rear wheels of the truck. Mr. and Mrs. Alsup and three children had just crossed a one-way bridge and were pulling to the right when the truck loaded with lumber, met then and the team swerved and the truck struck the fore-wheel of the hack, demolishing it and throwing Mrs. Alsup and daughter under the truck. They were rushed to the hospital, but were dead before medical attention could be reached. The truck was driven by Jack Mitchell of Paris who was placed under $500 bond to await the action of the grand jury. The family is known well through this section and have the sympathy of every one in this sad hour. The bodies were interred at Detroit Cemetery, Sunday afternoon, Dr. W. C. Carter conducted the services.
