age 90, of 1459 E. Knox, Galesburg, IL, died at 4:05 pm Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, IL.
She was born March 13, 1918 in Terre Haute, IN to Fred and Mae Hickman Warden. She married Dale Mitchell April 1, 1950 in Rockville, IN. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She is survived by a son Terry Mitchell, Galesburg, a daughter Kerre (Bill) Norris, Galesburg, two grandchildren, Tyler Mitchell and Hillary Mitchell.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vincent Warden.
Martha attended high school in Rockville, IN; graduating in 1936. She also attended a business college in Terre Haute, IN. She was a bookkeeper for the Catherine Club and several other offices retiring in 1986. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Galesburg.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. David Parker officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Memory Garden, Rockville, IN.
Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Humane Society or to Faith United Methodist Church.
