Jacob Dossinger was a private watchman and the father of William, Albert (Alois), Michael and Jacob G Dossinger.
He was the step-father of Josef and Frank Bockius, and Lizzie Bockius Owen.
Jacob committed suicide at age 50 after shooting and killing his second wife, Mary Silverhorn. He and Mary, age 22, were married in July, 1912. She filed for divorce only 6 weeks later. Jacob was determined to have her return to him. When she refused, he killed both her and himself.
