Mrs. Kate Abbott died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Print Morton in the East end after an illness of some four weeks. Her death was caused of kidney trouble. Mrs. Abbott lived alone in her home but when she took sick went to the home of her daughter where she remained until death claimed her. Kate Reynierson was born April 6, 1861, a daughter of the late Henry Reynierson. The family came to this community from Kentucky but whether she was born in Kentucky or here the family has no record. She was 68 years, 4 months and fifteen, She married William Abbott. Most of their life was spent as residents of Winslow and the community here. Four children were born to them, three of whom survive. The survivors are Mrs. Print Morton, Ray and James Abbott, all living in Winslow., The husband and father who was a carpenter died March 2, 1917. Six Grandchildren also survive. One sister, Mrs. Lawrence Barchus of Hardin. She is buried in Oak Hills Cemetery. Information gleaned from the Winslow Dispatch 8/16/1929.
