Mr. Grant was born Oct. 7, 1915, in Crook County to parents Mason Ray and Bessie (Robinson) Grant. His family were early pioneers to Central Oregon, and homesteaded near Haystack Reservoir. Mr. Grant served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the Electric Co-op Company as a lineman. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Katie Grant of Spanaway, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law, William and Ruth Grant of Madras; sister, Elsie Nance of Montana; step-children, Irma Myers of Yelm, Wash., and Rosetta McKibben of Tacoma, Wash.
A graveside service was held Feb. 1, at Grey Butte Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home in Madras.
