He was member of "Prisma", "Plástico", "Kaka de Luxe" and "Alaska y pegamoides" bands.
In 1981 formed with Nacho Canut, Javier Benavente and Johnny Canut "Paralisis permanente", the pioneer sinister rock group in Spain.
Afterward, Ana Curra, musician and Eduardo Benavente girlfriend, join to the band and in 1982 they published "El acto".
Together developed the first independent label in Spain, "Los tres cipreses".

He died in car accident. He was only 20 years old.

Benavente also was a leading member of the cultural movement known as La Movida. Among his songs "Autosuficiencia," "Tengo un Pasajero," "Quiero Ser Santa" and "Un Día en Texas."
