Charlotte Corina Bowers Witherspoon, 68, of Lenoir, NC 28645, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, N.C., after a brief illness.
She was born April 25, 1939, in Caldwell County to Mary Grace Tugman Bowers Moore of Lenoir, N.C., and Richard John Blanton Bowers. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Richard Bowers and William Howard Bowers; and a grandson, Wiliam Resean Barringer.
Minister Witherspoon was an assistant pastor and member of Unity New Temple Church of God, Inc.
She was a retired domestic worker.
She was a member of the Harper-Witherspoon American Legion Post #231 Auxiliary,
She also served as assistant superintendent of Bible Church School.
Burial: Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
