Last rites were held Tuesday August 6th, at 2 p.m. in the Carroll Funeral home for Mrs. R. W. Anderson, late of Fairview, who died at the Hahnemann hospital in Portland on Saturday, August 3rd. Rev. Dick Morgan, of Fairview, officiated and Mrs. J. M. Stanley, of Gresham, sang. Interment was in the Douglass cemetery in Troutdale. Pallbearers were S. C. Dixon, A.C. Copeland, Ira Brooks, Marion C. Burlingame, J. W. Moller and J. H. Peterson.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Bethel, Ohio, on March 15, 1873, and there became a member of the Christian church. In 1894 she married R. W. Anderson in Palmyra, Mississippi. Eight years later, they came to this area.
Surviviors, besides her husband are her two daughters, Mrs. Nann Willard and Mrs. Cora Deisch, both of Fairview, and Edward L. of Portland, and five grandchildren.
