The widow of Henry N. Abel, Middletown, she was a member of the Lima United Methodist Church.
She was born in Chester County but lived most of her life in Middletown. She resided with a daughter at 527 Smedley Ave., there before entering the nursing home four years ago.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Knafla, Philadelphia, Mrs. Alan Read, Mrs. Tryon Singer and Mrs. Helen Stevens, all of Middletown; a brother, John Young of Media, and 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at William C. Rigby Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media.
Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery, Lima.
