Rudolph H. Winner Buried in Berwick
Funeral services were held yesterday morning for Rudolph Hitchler Winner, 51, of South High Street, who died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at his home of coronary thrombosis. Obsequies were conducted from the Robert C. Montgomery Funeral Home on South Market Street. The Rev. Eugene O. Steigerwalt, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating, and interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.
Born in Nescopeck October 16, 1898, Mr. Winner was the son of Jennie Buss Winner and the late William B. Winner. Mr. Winner was married to the former Helen Beck in January, 1938. He was employed by the Atlantic Refining Company at the Northumberland bulk plant the past 28 years. He was a member of the first Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his widow, his mother, a son, Jack Winner, of Lancaster; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Post, at home; a brother, Edward Winner, of Bristol; a sister, Miss Johanna K. Winner, of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.
