Funeral for Iran J. Birdwell, 71, of Decatur, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home with Granville Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Birdwell died Sunday at his residence. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Birdwell; one daughter, Brenda Barksdale of Athens; three brothers, Pharis Birdwell of Sheffield, O.C. Birdwell Jr. and Lester Birdwell, both of Rogersville; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion.
