PONDER ELLISVILLE--Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home chapel for Clarence N. Ponder, 85, of Ellisville, who died Wednesday at Jones County Rest Home. The Rev. Jimmy Holder will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lora Ponder of Ocean Springs; three sons, W. C. of Goodwater, Ala., John and Norman Ponder, both of Laurel; a stepson, Jimmy Beech of Arlington, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Rhoda Waldrup of Forest Park, Ga., Mrs. Mabel Pody of Sylacouga, Ala., Mrs. Essie Lee of Ellisville and Mrs. Betty Poore of Laurel; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Reed, Mrs. Bonnie Jordan, both of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Carolyn Copeland of Ocean Springs; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren."
